Built to lift, built to last.
From 800 lb electric units to 10,000 lb hydraulic powerhouses — we install Liftmoore cranes on Royal, Stahl, and DuraMag bodies, or fabricate fully custom mechanic rigs from scratch. Welder, compressor, outriggers — whatever your job needs.
Crane, body, or the whole rig.
We pair industry-leading Liftmoore cranes with proven Royal, Stahl, or DuraMag bodies — or build the whole thing custom in our Jacksonville shop.
LIFTMOORE.
USA-made cranes since 1961. From light-duty 12V DC electric units to heavy hydraulic-powered cranes for serious lifting.

Frequently Asked Questions.
Quick answers to what most customers ask before ordering a crane or mechanic body.
What size Liftmoore crane do I need?
Depends on what you're lifting. Small jobs (tires, light parts, small motors) — a 2,000-3,200 lb DC electric crane is plenty. Heavier service work (transmissions, full engines, equipment) — go 4,000-6,000 lb hydraulic. Heavy mechanic work and oilfield service — you want 8,000-10,000 lb. Tell us what you'll typically lift and we'll spec it properly. Always size up if you're between two options.
Electric or hydraulic crane — what's the difference?
Electric (12V DC) cranes run off your battery — simpler, lighter, no PTO needed. They top out around 6,000 lb. Hydraulic cranes need a PTO (power take-off) or onboard hydraulic system — more power, faster operation, better for repeated heavy lifts. If you'll use the crane all day every day, go hydraulic. Light occasional use, electric is fine.
Do I need outriggers?
For most crane installs over 3,200 lb — yes. Outriggers stabilize the truck so it doesn't tip when the crane is extended out to its full reach. They're often required for OSHA compliance too. We'll spec them based on the crane size and how you'll use the truck.
Can you add a welder and air compressor too?
Absolutely — that's a really common combo. We integrate welder mounts (brand-agnostic — Lincoln, Miller, Hobart, whatever you want) and air compressor systems (vehicle-mounted or skid-mounted). All wired up clean with proper power, mounting brackets, and storage. Tell us what you want.
Royal, Stahl, or Nichols-built — which body should I get?
If you want a proven brand-name crane body — Royal makes excellent crane-ready bodies (11' standard, severe duty options). Stahl service bodies handle smaller cranes well. If you need something custom — different length, special compartments, integrated welder/compressor mounting — Nichols-built is the way. We'll talk through it.
Do you do OSHA crane inspections and certifications?
Yes. Liftmoore cranes need regular inspections to stay OSHA-compliant. We do the inspections, document everything, and handle any repairs needed to pass. If you're a fleet operator, talk to us about setting up recurring annual inspections.
How long does a crane install take?
Typically 2-3 weeks for a body + crane combo. Includes body installation, crane mounting, hydraulic plumbing (if applicable), wiring, controls, outriggers, and any welder/compressor add-ons. Custom builds with all the bells and whistles take longer.
Prefer to talk it through?
